Home of Armagnac, and the centre of the region of Gascony, the Gers offers long, hot summers, short winters, plus unspoilt and quite magical scenery. Joyce & George Kavanagh

A very welcoming couple who moved to the region a number of years ago, Joyce and George decided to establish their Convent Guesthouse in their lovingly restored home, so as to be able to welcome guests to the Gers and share with them the peace and harmony that they themselves found in the South West of France. Joyce and George will be delighted to tell you all about the history of their converted convent, to give you tips on the area and to do everything to make your stay an enjoyable one!

There's plenty to reward the senses in this delightful corner of the Midi-Pyrenees. From local markets to village fêtes, hill walks to parachuting, swimming in the lakes and rivers, to even hunting for antiques at the famous "vide grenier" markets, there certainly is something for everyone!
